Organizational Overview

The activities of Shumei Natural Agriculture are promoted by the Specified Nonprofit Organization Shumei Natural Agriculture Network (hereinafter referred to as SNN).
SNN was established as a nonprofit organization to inherit and disseminate the natural cultivation method and its underlying philosophy as advocated by Mokichi Okada.
Its mission is to regenerate environments contaminated by modern agriculture—such as through the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers—and to promote the adoption of sustainable farming practices that align with the natural ecosystem.
Shumei Natural Agriculture is a method that respects nature, adapts to it, and seeks a lifestyle in harmony with it by recreating nature’s cycles within the farm environment.
A healthy environment and diet lead people toward happiness.
By interacting with soil and crops grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, children cultivate emotional sensitivity, learn the preciousness of the earth and life, and grow up with sound character.
SNN builds networks with individuals and organizations who share this vision. Through supporting their activities and offering lectures, events, and information dissemination, SNN aims to deepen public awareness about food and agriculture.
Through these efforts, we strive to contribute broadly to the betterment of society.
